I miss the seconds,
When,
Lost in your thoughts,
You would smile,
And not,
Cringe.
I miss the days,
When,
Your eyes would,
Sparckle with joy,
And not,
Weep.
I miss the weeks,
When,
You were only,
Lonely for someone,
And not,
Heartbroken.
I miss the years,
Before,
Everything went wrong,
You were a kid,
And not,
Used.
I miss my life,
When,
You didn't anchor,
Me down,
And I was,
Fireproof.
I miss you,
Innocence.
Rebecca, I like the progression, rhythm and sentiment of your poem. I feel the longing for lost innocence, irrevocably irretrievable. Thanks!
